I used to hate folding laundry and doing dishes. But now, in my own house, it's kind of fun. I was folding laundry on Sunday when my laptop "shut off automatically to maintain minimum system temperature requirements." And it kept doing it, despite the fact that nothing was blocking the vents. After a two-hour conversation with Dell's technical support, the techie says, "Ok, dear, we're just going to send you a padded box, because your motherboard is shit."

Good to know. I thought overheating was confined only to 1986 Subarus, but clearly being too hot is a more general problem. Speaking of cars, i saw that a list was just released detailing the most commonly stolen cars. 1999 Acura Integras headlined the list, but interestingly enough, my car didn't even make the list. :)

I promised myself I wouldn't read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince until summer quarter was over. I just have too much school-related reading to do, and I knew I'd enjoy it more if I read it when I actually had time. But my plans were thwarted due to a cult wedding I went to on Saturday. And last night I finished the book. I hate that there's not another one coming out for two years. You feel so hollow and empty after finishing it, which is probably how Harry himself feels, considering the events of the the final chapters of book six. Reading those is so crazy addictive, you always want more HP.

Well, it's time to put my computer in a padded box and ship it off to Texas. Hopefully it comes back full of life and vigor. It's a very important piece of equipment--vital for watching episodes of Sex and the City, and messing around in iTunes, and hey, sometimes I even use it to write papers.
